Drag Me To Hell
Category: Movies I was suppose to finish reading Angels & Demons this weekend but since Drag Me To Hell really intrigued me out of the crazy reviews that I heard about it, I told myself that putting a book for a good two-three hours to see this movie would do no harm. Surely, this flick didn't disappoint the audience with its sure-fire techniques to scare the hell out of us. Director Sam Raimi from the Spiderman franchise surely did an amazing job with this one. And his past experience from directing The Evil Dead sure emanated from the movie. The story of the film begins when loan officer Christine Brown tries to get promoted at her job. In an attempt to impress her boss, Christine denies the extension of an old gypsy woman had asked for about her mortgage. The old woman begged in front of Christine but the girl was still persistent about her promotion. The whole thing caused a scene and soon after that Christine life drastically changes. "You shamed me...soon you will be the one begging from me" I had to agree with Enzo saying that this line is so powerful it can resonate in ones mind even after seeing the movie. The film has scary elements that only The Exorcist holds in my opinion. The demonic shadows and realistic hell openings are an added factor to that. Truly this movie will haunt someone in their sleep. Superb sound effects that is totally not for the faint hearted crowd. Hah. But although I find this movie really scary, I really found some scenes awkwardly and unintentionally hilarious. I don't know but for some reason, I just found myself laughing on the scene where the ghost of the old woman tries to put her entire first in Christine's mouth ---- and the whole thing fits! That was just my example, don't understand what I'm saying? See the movie and find out ;) |

Vanity isn't a sin, a little narcissm wouldn't hurt.Greetings stranger! If you ever by any chance stumble upon this little world that I created myself in the vast and tangled universe of the world wide web, consider yourself warned. I am extremely well known for being enigmatic and difficult to understand. I may seem detached and incapable of revealing my innermost feelings simply because I am oftentimes unable to do so. Perhaps philosophical at times and is interested in what we called the unexplained. Consider me as a little bit of everything all rolled into one. On some days I can be social, fun loving, outgoing and creative on one hand my personality is also contrasted with being sarcastic, moody and stubborn. So while some days will be a hit and others a miss hopefully but most days, will be and should be better than others. Nonetheless, read at your own risk. In short, WELCOME to Planet Oblivion! A small planet in the blogosphere universe. Help me in my quest in finding a deeper meaning on what lies beneath this planet's surface.
